Our Story

My name is Rachael Alfonso and I decided I wanted to bring a book into this world that would change the way kids would learn about cars forever.

Ever since I was 6 years old I had a love for cars. I was raised by a single father, and we bonded with her him and my brother by attending car shows and playing Hot Wheels on the living room floor.

That love developed into a passion that would fuel (pun intended) my young adult years and bring me into the exciting world of cars in my hometown of Palm Beach County Florida both as a hobby and as a career.

I have done everything from promotional work, to under the hood mechanic work, before obtaining a position at a local exotic car dealership. 

This then lead me to transitioning to a different role in the automotive space with a well known car collector in South Florida.

Through 18+ years of my passion for cars growing and evolving, I learned more than I ever thought possible. While this knowledge would benefit most, I knew there was a certain demographic that I could share this information with in a more exciting way.

And thus What Cars Say was born!

I wrote What Cars Say with both children and parents in mind, that way it could teach kids and remind adults about the most exciting era in automotive history.

There are 21 cars featured ranging from everyday drivers to some of the most rare cars in the world, each one features it’s own page with beautiful artwork, fun and education facts about said car, and best of all the REAL sound of that cars engine start up and rev!

Cars now more than ever are changing before our very eyes, electric and hybrid cars will soon be dominating the streets. While it is the way of the future, there is a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for these mechanical beauties that should be passed down from generation to generation, and that’s what is captured with every push of a button from What Cars Say.

I personally run all fulfillment for What Cars Say right out of my hometown in Palm Beach County. You might even see me out and about at local events!

All orders are carefully packaged by myself and my team to ensure top notch quality and care for every book.

It is my goal to ensure that every single child has a copy of What Cars Say in their home.

Cars truly changed my life, when I was younger they were things I would see in my dreams. But as I grew older I realized that more than anything cars gave me a sense of purpose, they created goals and aspirations, causing me to work harder and smarter, and ultimately they got me to where I am today.

There are thousands of people whose stories start the same way, but I want that number to be in the millions, and What Cars Say is the perfect introductory tool for children to learn about this incredible world of cars in a fun and creative light.
